New Patient Exam
We are always excited about meeting our new patients. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by one of our team members who will gather the completed information forms, dental insurance details, and any other pertinent information.
We will take you on a tour of our office, take some complimentary digital photos and radiographs, and discuss what we will be doing that day.
Dr. Moran will then do a thorough examination and recommend if and when orthodontic treatment will be necessary. This is your opportunity to get to know him, have questions answered, and discuss any concerns.
We use digital images to help explain the problems, and we have visual aids to help you understand what orthodontic appliances look like and how they work. We will review types of appliances, length of treatment, scheduling, cost, and financing options in order to give you all the information you need to make a decision regarding treatment.
We take pride in helping patients understand what to expect during the course of their orthodontic treatment, and our goal is to answer all your questions at this initial visit. We look forward to meeting you.
Initial Placement of Braces
The appointment when you get your initial appliances usually takes from one to two hours. We schedule these appointments in the mid-morning and early afternoon, when it is quiet, to allow us to give you our undivided attention.
Following the initial placement of your braces, you will then be seen at four- to eight-week intervals, with an average adjustment time of 20 to 40 minutes. At certain times during treatment, longer appointments may be needed to add more appliances or do specialized procedures.
We schedule shorter appointments before and after school, and longer appointments in the mid-morning and early afternoon. By doing this, we can accommodate as many families as possible with before- and after-school appointments, rather than reserve an entire morning or afternoon for one or two patients.
Patients are seen by appointment only. We make every effort to be on time for our patients and ask that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately. Cancel only if it is an emergency. Missing appointments can prolong your treatment and rescheduling may be difficult since most appointments are made four to eight weeks in advance.
Orthodontic treatment that results in a beautiful smile and healthy bite is an investment that will last a lifetime. Many options are available to make this investment affordable. We are happy to work with you to customize an option that fits your individual needs.
Cost of treatment varies with each individual case and is based on the severity of the problem, type of appliances used to straighten the teeth, and the length of time in treatment. Our fees are comprehensive and include study models, placement of the braces, all appliances necessary to complete your treatment, all office visits for the duration of the treatment time, removal of the braces, your final retainers, and office visits during the first 12 months of retention. Your specific treatment fee, insurance coverage, and financing options will be discussed in detail at your initial visit.
In an effort to make orthodontic treatment affordable while maintaining the highest level of professional care, we offer several financing options. As a courtesy to our patients, we offer financial arrangements with no interest or financing fees.
The most common payment option involves an initial fee of approximately 25%, with the balance divided into monthly payments. We also offer discounts for payment in full at the onset of treatment, as well as family discounts for siblings. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and all check/debit cards.
For patients with insurance, we will be happy to help you determine the coverage you have available. We accept assignment of benefits from most traditional insurance plans, and our experienced staff will gladly file claims on your behalf.
New Patient Forms
